HV pump is not needed. The aftermarket cover is a bolt in deal. Build it right either way and your oil pressure will be fine.

I thought the Silver Seal was the only aftermarket cover - I do not know if they are from China but they are not all that great in quality. I have read about porosity issues and my cover has a pocket of porosity that was opened up to the outside surface when they drilled and tapped for the oil pan bolts - it leaks :(

The cover is not always just a bolt on part when one has a roller cam that uses a cam button that adjusts the end play between the cam and the cover.

I'm thinking about putting my 300K mile stock cover BACK on. I am wondering if I have some porosity in an area I cannot see.

AutoZone The part number for the front cover is 500231 and it's $92.99 plus tax. The brand name is Pioneer. It is a special order item, when I ordered mine they were able to get it within 24 hours.
Pioneer pn: 500231
Clevite pn: 6018091

They are also made by "Greywerks" or something like that. You have to be careful, I have had one too thin to port the oil pickup, and one machined incorrectly for the cam sensor. The sensor sat at the wrong angle and didn't fit!!!!
