Finally took the GN out for a spin and noticed the SM was all over the place. While I was driving it was reading 700's, 600's, 300's, 600's, then 000 all the way across then back up. Is the 02 finally dead?

Normal operation of the Scanmaster while cruising around.
Only time the O2 readings are important is when at WOT ( maybe I'll be corrected about the WOT, however it may be above a certain TPS voltage)

Thanks Roger. It always jumps around but I don't recall such a huge dirrerence in readings. Maybe it's been a lot longer than I thought since I've had her out of the garage.:D

Look at the O2 crosscounts, or "cc" and see how fast they cycle to 255 and reset. It should do it every 10 sec or so, if not your O2 may be dying

Mike,
Those numbers seem normal to me. Actually, when you decelerate quickly, the O2's should drop to .000 as the injectors/ECM are in deceleration mode. I also noticed that the low O2 recording feature of the SM will be odd if you punch it from a roll instead of loading it up like at the track, then go to WOT.

Listen to Blackbuick. If you don't have crosscounts, the 02#'s really don't matter too much if you are not at WOT but its the speed of the readings that matter. When my O2 started dying it started to get 'lazy'. and reading 000 more often. HTH
