Fixed all the broken studs for the girdle. Got the Duttweiller cork pan gasket. Now, should I use sealer or put on dry? What's the correct and total method for putting this pan on. I think I'm supposed to put sealer in the stud holes with the sealing washers to seal girdle. I have the engine out, girdle on and torqued down (25#) I have the silver metric washers under the stud nuts and have not put the copper sealing washers on yet. How are you guys doing it?
Do I :
1) fill the stud holes with sealant
2) drop the copper washers on
3) put gasket on (block dry)
4) put pan on (pan dry)
5) torque pan down (88in pounds)

I used LOTS of gasket sealer and have yet to experience a leak (or broken oil pan stud) from the oil pan/girdle installation area.

One of my girdles is leaking through the studs, like Scott said, LOTS of sealer!
