It'll ever get out of the $20Ks.... Well w/ the rich fools there, it could I suppose.
I sold our 87 loaded option car w/ 37 miles in plastic and window decal still in place this last year for $32,500....Maybe I went too low, but I though it was pretty close to value.

One of my ace mechanics suggested Nitrous would make it really fast. I consulted with Buick engineers at Flint, MI. and had it installed. It's really fast!

Given that statement I'd stay the hell away from that car. I'd like to see a low mileage, all orgininal loaded '87 GN cross the auction block, but it looks like it won't happen this year. :(

It seems that cars that go on the auction block before Friday seem to go for low $$$. A good time to buy a car but it seems like a dumb way to sell one when few bidders are present. Remeber a couple years ago when record holding race GN (that must have cost 100k to build) sold for dirt cheap?

IF we are thinking about the same car, I believe you are talking about a stage 2 car that sold in the $30k-$40k range, It was a full on race car and I believe they said the engine alone was worth more than $50k, someone got a deal. This was probably 2 or 3 years ago....

last year a GN went for 32 or so. Seemed a bit high to me but I did notice that last year the value of TR's went up about 5-8 k. I think B-J has a positive impact on prices but at the same time....can push them out of reach for common folk.

And some jack azz paid $40k for that modified GN with nitrous that the owner claimed "never raced"...what an idiot that buyer was.

Yep that was John Gallinas racecar.

Gallina's car sold in 2005 for $49,680.

I'd like to see a fully documented, loaded, no miles, 87 GN roll across the block on Friday. That would drive the prices of our cars. Better yet, if 50 cent and Snoop did a street race vid, GN v. T - LMAO...

so how much did the cutlass go for 5k?
why does everybody want the prices of our cars to go up so much if your not gonna sell it and you drive it and enjoy it then why does it matter how much you can get an idiot to pay for it?

So what did good old Rick Debroll have to say about it?? Anybody tape it??

I don't think that the GN received any air time on SPEED..maybe it was sold during the day.

I might be mistaken though, I tried to watch the entire 5 hrs...but had company, so I might have missed it.

I was looking forward to see what Joy had to say about the GN.

So what is the point of driving up the price on these cars? Is everyone thinking of selling out? I just don't want the taxes to get to high incase I want to buy another Regal. They started basing our taxes here in Texas on a set guide price. So if these cars start selling pretty high, they may catch on and up our taxes. This will sux come time to buy another Regal or even sell an exsisting Regal. Just imagine loosing a sell because someone found out they was going to have to pay taxes on a car for 20k when they only paid 10k for it:eek:

If the value go up it is good for sellers, bad for buyers. Higher value will eventually lead me to raise the amount of insurance I have on the car as it will become more attractive to thieves I suspect.

On a positive note, it will be nice to say "yeah, my GN is worth as much as that xxx car", even though none of us would ever brag about our cars so that doesn't really matter.

I just like the implied respect the cars get from a high auction price.

Where can you find the results? I can find the GN description, but not a list of yesterdays prices. Thanks
