I have a set of these bushings & was wondering if anyone had any information on these. How to install them & if they would help my t-top car with support.thx

The cross bars behind the seat are your best bet for a t-top car....at least that is what others have said on this board.

As for the bushings, this is what I did:

(Note: you can try to lift the car with the rear bumper on, but you will probably need to remove it for these mounts to have enough space to get where they need to go.)

1. Loosen (or more likely, remove) the 4 rear bushings behind the axle. 2 near the bumper, 2 near the exhaust.

2. Loosen the bushings behind the front tires "slightly". You may not have to do this at all if you start from the rear and work forward. I think it is a total of 4....maybe 6...can't remember. Either way, you need some give. However, use a good amount of "break away" if your car is a humidity run car or looks rusted.....these things can break your hands. :)

3. Find a nice "safe" piece of wood (I used a 6x6) that can span across the floor pan near the rear end....where the passengers put their feet. Now, I had my drive shaft out, so you might have to get creative.

4. CAREFULLY jack the car up! Watch the floor board....the larger the contact, the less likely you'll do any damage when jacking. All you need is about 3-5 inches...or enough to get your hand and the mounts above the mounting area.....tight squeeze if you still have stock exhaust.

5. Pop in the bushing, let down the car....repeat prior steps in reverse :)

6. Go for a drive and notice how different your car feels.....it felt night and day on mine!!
