My currant set up I'm pretty sure is stock, I'm trying to keep my car all original right down to the air cleaner assembly for now. I would like to be able to tune it though with all factory stuff to it's peak performance running on 93. What are your suggestion's on this?

Dean
PS: Thank's for the help

Anyone else? I'm open for suggestion's. I'm new so I don't know a lot YET.

Will I need a scanmaster for this? Should I still replace the fuel pump with a better one? And add a manual fuel pressure regulator?

For those of you who are wandering, GNX7 asked me what configuration I was currantly running. He's been trying to help me. If anyone else can help also I'm open for any suggestion's.

talking to your self is a bad thing...

lol

yes, scan master or some sort of scan tool is vey important, otherwise you are pretty much in the dark.

yes, change the fuel pump, keep it if you must so if you sell the car you can sell it with all the orgional parts. the pump is old, 16 years old, its probably getting pretty tired.

yes, get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator if you plan on going faster or turning up the boost. faster you go, the more gas you need, therefore you need more fuel pressure.

for basic tuning you only need a screw driver, (to adjust to TPS) a couple allen head wrenches (to adjust the IAC) and then all the basic wrenches and sockets if you plan on doing the fuel pump or fuel regulator, you dont really need anything special for those jobs.

i dont know if that answered all your questions, but i sure hope it helps

Thanks for the info, does the scan master come with instructions that are pretty easy to follow?

scanmaster came with instructions for me, maybe youll get unlucky and not get them? doubt it though...

its really easy to hook up... three wires:

Red: 12v battery source, i used a IGN plug in the fuse box
Black: Ground
White: slice into the orange wire behind the ALDL

mine didnt come with a sheet telling what each function of the scan master is, but its pretty easy to figure out, there is this refrence sheet:
