I just bought an 87 Turbo-T. It runs great, and looks pretty good, needs some interior TLC, and a few issues fixed under the hood. I just wondered if anyone had tips or advice for me on these repairs.
Here's my laundry list
1. Headliner is sagging - plan to get the kit from Jax and replace it. I've got some local help from 'grw' so that should steer me straight.
2. AC doesn't work, can't get any air out of the vents. Figured I would try replacing the vaccum switch behind he heater control panel.
3. Antenna goes up and down, but is disconnected out at the fender. I need to fish the old antenna cable out and plug it in (hopefull thats all it is)
4. Oil leak at the oil pump area. This motor was recently rebuilt, and it has a boost-a-plate. The filter is tight, and so are the cooler lines, I need to get in there and look at it to see if I can tell exactly where its leaking.
5. Cam Sensor is noisy, need to get some shims.
6. Shifter handle needs replacing
7. She's not passing emissions, I'm going to get an emissions chip, if all else fails, I'll put a Cat back on it.2
8. Drivers door hinge is worn, probably needs replacing.
9. Needs new carpet and seats. The seats will have to wait, but I'll be doing the carpet soon.
