I bought one of the Granatelli Performance MAF's for my car right before I wrecked it. It's not one of the adjustable ones, it's actually for a LS1, but I'm excited about putting it on my next one.

After reading up on it, it sounds almost like it has a Translator Plus built in, so it's really not that expensive.

I spent $225 for the Trans Plus and $225 for a used Granatelli Maf. I should have just got this!

Granatelli does not have the best rep in the business for original development. All of their meters for the Mustangs are just rebadged Pro M's

No, it reports 30% more airflow. There is a difference.
But worded in such a way that at a glance it's an easy mistake to make, clever advertising.

It still doesn't correct the system flaws that a Translator Plus, and Extender, would. You could still possibly see MAF drop out with it.

And with the Translators, they use the later MAFs that have a true MAT correction already built in.

Frank. I have one here at the shop that JR Granatelli gave me to try out. Your welcome to try it.

did you try it on a car yet Dale?? What do you think of it?? Ill give it a shot if ya need someone to try it.. Let me know..

okay.. Ill stop over next week and pick it up.. Thanks :) Ill post it here..

The "up to 30% more airflow" is because they removed the venturi cone, similar to what Steve Y has been doing for years. It looks like they are putting a new board in an old housing.

It still won't have the flow potential of a 3.5" LS1 sensor, however.

Do you need a new chip burnt for the new MAF? I thought if you gutted a stock MAF you needed a new chip burnt because the removing of the screens and cone made the car run funny.

this maf still has the screens and is not cone shaped like a factory Delco is. So no reason to burn a new chip//
