I am putting on rear GTA wheels and wanted to know if a 1 1/4 inch adaptor will be too big? That is the smallest that this company makes.

You talking about the bolt on type adapters? If so I think 1.250" will be too thick and put the wheel too much to the outside. Maybe about .750-.875" or so would fit better.

Chris, Mark just made me grin real big since he said just what I told you this afternoon!:D

what I told you this afternoon!

Nick, I guess I am looking for other ideas here because now the guy from Illinois is sending the fronts and rears and I don’t want to change the wheel studs. Just sell me your wheels and I wont have to be such a pest. :-) Classic is coming out with some in the near distant future. See I need them now and See wellll you don’t. I am kind of like a fly arent I?

This is simple. Get your self a 1/4 spacer and then when you get the wheels use the FRONT wheels on the REAR of your car and then....you guessed it use the REAR wheels on the front with the 1/4 spacer...NO PROBLEM Done it for years!!!!!

SEE thats what I was looking for! I think I will do that until I run accross some fronts in the future. Thanks SHRPTTA!

NO PROBLEM Done it for years!!!!!

Wait a minute. Your sig shows a TTA? Why would you need to do this on your TA or do you have a GN also?

Great minds think alike

Yes I did it to my GN's

GOOD OLD CLASSIC INDUSTRIES SUCKS!

Well I thought better of it and thought I should spend the extra money and do it right by getting all for fronts. Classic Industries called me and said they had all four fronts in stock and would be delivered by Friday. That was their first lie. They sat in their warehouse for three more days. Well up comes Tuesday and they arrive. And yes you guessed it two fronts and two rears. I paid $800 for this? After calling them and trying to get two more fronts they tell me they are out of stock again and won’t get them for another month (I asked them five times if they were fronts before they sent them). I decide to take the advice of SHRPTTA and buy spacers for the front with the rear wheels. This turns out to be a mess too. I got 5/16 spacers (even wider than SHRPTTA suggested) and the Mother F$#%@#$ rubs. I put them on and rolled the car back. It came to a grinding halt. I was a little puzzled but after closer inspection I notice aluminum shavings on my drive way from my nice new rear wheels. I GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are we all masochists? Why do we do this to ourselves?

Watch out for more postings as I plan on dragging Classic Industries name through the mud some more!

I apoligize for any miss info, but mine did not rub!!!!

Hope it works out for you.

Phil

try 7/16 spacers

my gta wheels rubbed too... knocked the weights off the inside of the wheel and shaved it down about 1/2" :-D

hehe it works though

you could probably lightly take a grinder to the upper A arm and make it clear
