finally got the rebuilt engine in the '86 gn, and started it, but still need to hook up guages, i'm putting auto-meter 2 1/16 ultra-lites in the pillar,- fuel pressure, vac./boost, oil press., my question is should i go w/ the full replacement pillar, or the triple pod that attaches to the stock pillar, and the reason i ask is b/c I put the full dual pod pillar from ESP in my '84 T, wasn't happy w/ how it fit( or didn't fit) and was wondering if somebody else made the full pillar that actually fits, or should i just use the triple pod that attaches, all opinions, suggestions, or personal experiences will be much appriciated, thanks

Hi-

I suggest using the multi-hole pods if the full pillar does not fit properly. I would rather do that than look at a poor-fitting, full pillar. Of course, you will want to test-fit any pods you buy.

If you are thinking about the full pillar because you do not want to drill holes in your original pillar, you can get a Regal pillar from junk yard or someone who has spare parts or is parting out a car. If the color is wrong, correct color spray paint is available or your local pro, car paint store can mix it for you.

You can also get a dual gauge pod for the console tray to supplement any gauges in pillar.

Hope that helps.

Steve
