Turbo Oil Drain Gasket Question

You should be ok with just cleaning the threads of the new oil drain and putting some pipe sealant on the threads and tightening it up. The oil that comes out of the turbo oil drain hole is very aerated, IE: not a smooth flow of oil, more of a foamy flowing mess. The convolutes and gravity help the oil reform and properly drain back into the valley. Paste instead of tape is what I recommend. The flare should seal on the factory brass fitting in the block when tightened down fully.
I see what you're talking about in your video.

I finally got it. I was just apprehensive about tightening to much on that fitting.
