I got my new Gt67 turbo with another high boost actuator. I had a high boost unit on my previous TE45A, and was able to get down to 15 psi. No one believed me, saying that a high boost ubit will only go down to 18 psi. Now my new one also is able to go down to 15-16 psi. I'm not complaining, but am I the only one who can do this? My wg is set up "tuner" style, just a hose from the compressor to the wg actuator.

i have a HD actuator and my boost just shoots up over 25psi at WOT. Waiting for a regular actuator and hopfully that will fix my problem

i never had a problem, 15 psi with the bleeder shut and 25 psi all the way open. worked like a champ with my old t-66.

the spring is just way too tight. Even with a line hooked from the compressor to the wastegate actuator it still wont move the rod

I imagine that it is because I dont have one of these actuators I cannot get the boost over 21psi. If i set the boost to 20 psi, then turn the rod 6 more times, I get 21 psi:mad: Who carries these actuators?

Where is your gauge reading pressure from? Manifold or turbo? The difference is the pressure drop. Turbo may be seeing 18 psi, but the manifold sees otherwise. I have a HD actuator as well and I'm able to get boost just under 15psig. But I also have a stock intercooler temporarily.

So how is that 67GT turbo running for ya? I have two GT turbos in mind and one is the 67. Just trying to get some feedback.

D

I haven't really had a chance to beat the Gt67 yet, but it pulls pretty hard at 16 psi. Spool is quick too. I doubt I have much pressure drop, with a PTE front mount ic. I'm reading off the manifold.

I've a question... with the 4" inlet on the turbo and assuming you are running a 3" up pipe did you have clearance between up pipe and turbo inlet pipe? or did you have to use a plenum spacer?

No, I've run a 4" inlet and 3" up pipe on 2 turbos now with no problems. I do have a PTE plenum, which kicks the up pipe a little higher. Also I didn't have to use an angle IAC thing either.
