Anyone ever work with Harpers racing out of Ft. Lauderdale Florida. I need to have my car gone over, larger injectors, turbo, new computer, i have an old old dfi system. Or if anyone can recommend someone else in the south east Florida area it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Kdk

There is also KDK performance out of Orlando. I ave never used them, but I have talked with Kevin on the phone and they seem nice. I have only heard good things about them.

Kevin at KDK would be a good choice for sure, if you need some DFI tuning tough to beat Cal Hartline who is also in your area.
Mike

Go see Freddy at Turbo Tune. He is number one Buickk guy in the Broward area. Super clean and honest.

Run, dont walk away from Harpers.

I second stay away from them.,
Replaced a few crap chips from them and tuned some cars that had been to Harpers when I lived in Miami.
Owners were having alot of problems after they worked on them.

Two words: STAY AWAY!

Claude.

I did a search on Harpers on this site and gave me lot of insight on his dealings so thanks guys you came through, and i remember the names Mike Licht and Jay from years ago good to see you guys are still around. I'm moving down to the Palm Beach Ft Lauderdale area so i guess its KDK performance. I wanted to send my car to Hartline but was told by his wife they don't work on cars and to send it to Lamottas performance, i know hes a Mustang tuner so I'm a little hesitant considering its a stage ll motor.

I would like someone with more experience working on Buick's.

hey wen u come down to palm beach and ever wanna meet up just let me know! i'm new to the game, but have a good personality  lol ...i HAVE met Fred from Turbo Tech and talked to him, and he really seems like a great guy. everyone in broward seems to point in his direction. he's usually out at the Tower Shops car meet all the time too which is cool to have the mechanic mingle with the community...and answer questions on-the-spot while he's not busy

I'd try to hook up with Laz, and Roy! I don't think anyone can argue with Laz's insight and ability...

Harper Who!!!!

Hmm....let`s see. I live in Montreal, Harper lives in Florida. Back in 1996 when I met Rick my cwas running mid 12`s after LISTENING to Rick the car just went faster and faster WITHOUT him asking for a DIME...
And since then if recall correcly I surpassed someone here in Montreal who was the fastest without spending Gazzillions of Dollars going to Jim and Eric and now at Cotton Performance.

Go and see Rick Haper and tell him you read this post. He`s an O.K. in my Book.
Fxxxxx it`s been 13 years I know him and I hve NO regrets....

It's unlikely any performance shop will fuk it up all the time. It's the other times that matter.

I have known Rick Harper for almost 10 years and have never had any problems with him.

Guys, that someone is ME!...But don't worry Joe, that's allright if you surpassed me...;) ...BUT, enjoy it WHILE YOU CAN!... Also I'm not sure you did not spend as much as me on your car... By the way, since our friend Martin decided to have his work done at Cotton's, all of a sudden HE took away the title of the "Fastest GN around Montreal" from YOU  He went a 9.65, and I'm very happy for him!

See 'ya!

Claude.

Stage II vs a 109. Cheap shot. But that's O.K.
You have the Wallet.

Go and see Rick Harper. He's a good guy in my book.

You should not forget his RICK HARPER which has to build the fasted STAGE 2 of the quebec has 8.62   GO TO HARPER RACING

You know what my car is still in NYC, i might just send it up to Cottons and have him ship it to me in Florida because it sounds like Florida doesnt have any really good shops for GN's. :(

I am a snow bird that spends my winters in florida,my condo is about 15 minutes from harpers place of business ,,,,this winter I was taking a drive in his area and stopped by ,,,as I walked in the open garage bay I saw 2 trans supports for a 2004r on the cement floor (support that crosses frame)well I needed one badly as mine was bent and i could not get a used one in canada ,,,,,,,SOOOOO I ASKED RIC TO SELL ME ONE AS I WAS DESPERATE ,,,,,,,HE SAID TAKE IT ,,ITS YOURS ,,,HE WOULD NOT TAKE A DIME OFF OF ME...HE DOESNT SOUND SO BAD TO ME.

Joe, sorry if you took my last reply as a "cheap shot"...but you never mentioned GN's using a 109 block anywhere...just being the "fastest".....but that's OK too!

Claude. :)

Who are Laz and Roy, are they in Southern Florida.

109's have come a long way, a friend of mine back in the early 90's ran 9.50's with a stage 1 Bob Goldfine tuned by turbo people. My car has his old M&A heads, now i would love to go mid 9's but i'd be more than happy going mid 10's and not have to run a turbo 400 or have to go with a spool.

I just need to toss some 80lb pounders in there and upgrade my turbo get a new EMU (XFI) and have the car dynoed. I dont want a butcher working on my car or someone thats going to blow it up on the dyno.
