A friend droped his 87 TT off to me to do some mods and general clean up on. For some reason he thinks I know what I am doing

One problem is you have to crank it forever to get it to start. After it starts the car seems to run well. shut it off and it starts right back up. Let it site for a bit and then your back to cranking it for awhile to start.

I noticed that I cannot hear the pump come on when the key is switched to the on position? Almost like it does not come on until you crank for awhile?

Any Advise?

Also his BLM's seem low 105 - 110.

I am using turbo link on the car.

What does the INT mean?

Thanks in advance for any help.

hard start

Hi,
It is almost certain that you have a bad fuel pump relay. Our cars have a redundant circuit through the oil pressure switch, hence the eventual startup. The pump relay , I think, is on the passenger side relay cover. I don't remember specifically, so I could be wrong. Look at the driver's side too.

Hi,
INT stands for integrator, which is basically fine fuel mixture adjustment. Block learn is the general , long term adjustment. Somewhere around 128 is nominal, but once you add modifications, block learns of 110 or so are not uncommon. Basically, the lower the number, the more fuel the ecm is pulling out of the equation. 0 to 255 is the range, but I don't think you will see our motors going much below 90. If you have a lean problem, then the numbers will go above 160. I lost a motor due to lean misfire, watch out!Good luck with your problem!
