I'm trying to replace the weatherstripping that is on the outside-top of the door (where you rest your arm with the window down).

Do I need to remove the window glass to get at the screws that hold it in place, or is there another way?

thanks

haven't done mine on the GN yet but have done other GMs Sstrips.
theres a glass stop bracket at the bottom center that keeps window from going down too far .
remove the doorpad (or just pull away the bottom far enough to get at the bolt ), loosen the bolt to drop down the stop bracket or remove the stop bracket , the window should now be able to go down enough to get at the screws and replace the s-strip,
, roll the window up and be sure to reinstall or reposition the stop bracket back into the same place it was .

it is easier to get at screws with doorpad completely removed but it can be done with it on.

Just did mine this weekend.

I removed the top inner door panel and used a racheting screwdriver. It works just like a tiny rachet and the phillips head is at a 90 degree angle to the handle. I ground the flat edge blade off the other side so it would fit in between the glass.

I got it at the local Ace hardware for about $10. Really easy with this tool. General Rachet Offset Screwdriver (807SX)

Pretty easy swap - I upgraded the speakers in the door while I was in there...
