Don't care who you voted for or what your beliefes are so please don't post them.;) This is just to ask if you got out and voted so let's not turn this into a political BS post.:D

Yes. It was the longest line I have ever had when voting. Line was out the door and down the sidewalk to the street. Then 4 or so people on the sidewalk paralleling the street.

Voted first week of Oct. by absentee ballot to avoid standing in line today.

Nope! Guess I'm the first to say it in this thread.

I SHOULD pay more attention to local elections where my voice really matters, but when you don't live in a swing state, the electoral vote system negates any effort to vote for president.

Kansas is going republican regardless of my input. If there's a republican candidate that is so bad that they can't secure Kansas, they got no shot in hell anyway. Truthfully I can't even imagine a republican candidate that can't win Kansas, unless someone uncovers a serious scandal during the race. Thinking more about it, I might have to google the history of Kansas election results.

I understand many people fought and died for my right to vote and I deeply respect that, but they also fought for my right to choose not to for whatever reason I choose. And I choose not to because of the electoral college system and the way lobbyists turn the candidates into their puppets. I refuse to vote for the lesser of 2 evils. I probably will vote more in local elections in the future, but I try and try to pretend to be interested in it and just can't stay focused on it.

There I'm done. Dammit I swore i'd never talk politics on an internet forum. I guess I failed.

I arrived at the polling station and walked straight up to the registrar and got my ballot. Zero wait time.

Polls opened at 7:00 am in TN. I vote in a school that is right in front of my house. When I left the house at 6:30 there were already a few people lined up outside to vote, so I decided to go ahead and vote before work. So, I waited for 30 min. By the time the doors openend there were probably over 150 people in line. It took me 40 minutes to wait through the line and cast my vote. By the time I left, the line was twice as long. I've voted at this place for two other presidential elections and the line has never been that long.

I Voted! This morning after I got off work :D 6 people in line before me and I Thanked the fine folks of NC for their time manning the polls.

Yeah, Charlie, my wife and I just got back from voting.....took the Vette for good luck.....walked right in, identified ourselves (pulling out a mirror and saying, "Yeah, it's me, alright) then right to the booth. Very fast, very efficient....no line at all.....amazing!........that is until I told the booth tender that I put a quarter in the SD slot of the voting machine and it told me to vote for Bruce Springsteen.......:D I said I was already a musician and really don't need a guitar player in the White House, just someone who knows how to turn an amp on. Had to leave fast, everyone was laughing real loud....didn't want to cause a scene.

As we walked out, it came to me that it sure feels good to vote.....really appreciated that good feeling of how free this country is and how thankful we live in a free country like this......man, I sure appreciated all the good men and women who've died in sacrifice throughout the years just so we can have this wonderful freedom to vote and believe in God................it is really a great thing. Still feeling good and thankful even now. Freedom......it's the greatest ever. Always will be.

This afternoon. Walked right in. No body was in the "M" line. Had a nice old lady that was hard of hearing and blind as a bat check me off. Had to wave my ID (new to us this go around) right in her nose b/f she saw it. Was in and out the school in 4 minutes.

We were in at 6:00am Wanted to be first- ended up third and the rest of the hall filled up to about 150 people in a few minutes.. Just wanted to get in and out as quickly as possible.

In and out in under 5 minutes. Democrats always seem to win in CT but had to cancel out my wife's vote for the wrong guy. Was getting into it with her last nite about it. I voted for the guy with the funny first name.;)

Went right after picking the kids up from school. I feel it's important for them to be engaged in the election process. I always take them. Many of their grade school peers are also involved and knowledgable. It's just easier to raise strong intellegent and engaged children who will make choices they can defend, than fix ignorant apethetic adults. Or deal with what we've failed to do for the next generation when we're older.

Timed it just right as the line was extended out the door and down the sidewalk when we left.
