head bolt sealing

just remembered i forgot to use thread sealer on my head bolts.. ... Just wanted to make sure, i have to loosen all of the bolts, put sealer on them, then retorque them in sequence, not just take out one at a time, put sealer on it, then retorque, correct? thanks

Seems to me that the head gasket is already crushed. I would think that the best way to "cheat", would be to do one head bolt at a time. jmo
