I have had it with the stock headers.I cannot even tighten my stock headers to the cylinder head to get rid of my exhaust leaks. It must be warped or something.I know ATR's are the best but they are 900$ for a set.I was thinking of using a gasket but if this header won't tighten right to the head it won't make a difference.Anybody have Poston headers and are they similar to the stock headers?? I like the stock headers performance wise but all the warping is too much of a hassle. How about the ATR'S any one have them and do they still give that same bottom end response like the stockers do??

I had leaks with my stock header also. I bought ATR headers and I dont like them at all , they made the bend on cylinder 4 right in front of the bolt? ****ing idiots!

My Terry Houston downpipe did not clear the atr crossover, so it was either sell the ATR's or buy their downpipe for $400. I later found out you can run a spacer between the turbo and the thdp to clear the crossover.

I just ordered the postons thursday, should be here tomorrow.I will let you know how they fit.

Thanks for letting me know after you put the Poston's on.Good luck because i certainly need help finding the right headers with less hassles. .Hope everything fits ok unlike the ATR'S though.

I was wondering how much for a set of the Poston Headers and does that include the crossover pipe?? Thanks

You could proably find some refurbished stockers fairly cheap.

Might want to stick with them if you drive the car alot and are not trying to run deep in the 10's.

i would like to get a good set of stocker's.I only need the passenger's side stock header though. I bought the direct stock replacement from ATR so i just need to find a good passengers side header.A guy was going to sell me one for 135$ plus shipping from another state but I didn't want to risk getting junk.

My buddys car has had the postons on for about one season trouble free, and they work with all down pipes cause hes had a few,i hear they leak after a while but they all do,really nice headers if you ask me,they look like they will hold up

The crossover is not included in the poston header kit.

Poston said the crossovers are backordered until the end of this month.

I winder why noone makes an economy mild steel header for our cars at an affordable price..kinda like the postons but with no leaking or problems down the road..seems like hooker or someone would..I guess hooker does make a good header just too big for our cars..at least they tried but seems like theyd get some feedback on them & make some more for our cars not just race race cars..I dont know really..I milled mine down but I kinda wish I had just maybe cut the metal in between the tubes instead..it kinda throws the crossover pipe off a bit when you shave them but if you use gaskets I guess it might be ok..

No Doubt there awfull.Hooker headers are junk unless used for an all out race car. When i bought my T-Type 10 years ago it came with Hooker Headers and man does it create turbo lag,I switched to the stock ones that the guy gave me if i wanted to switch.I put them on and it was alot better.Because of my lack of money i just made a deal with a guy for the header that was warped or whatever else was wrong with it.So for now when i get the stock header I am sending it out for a 1800 degree thermal coating and keep my fingers crossed I get good use out of it.My driver's side header is ok.Its a direct stock new replacement header from ATR.So hopefully i won't be talking headers on this board much longer.

headers suck on t buicks

find someone to re work your stock manifolds! design & performance great, durability sucked so have them massaged & coated inside & out if you can.

If you are still looking, I have a complete set of stock ones for sale. They were professionaly repaired by Keith Mease. $250 Shipped and that includes the crossover.
