Basically it doesnt work, and the fust isnt blown, what are some good things to check before i pay someone to figure it out for me haha

Also on my tach the light is not working, it is an aftermarket phantom autometer, if someone could just tell me who has one of these where the wires go, their is a green which goes into the engine compartmen, a black which im assuming is a ground, a red which is going to the fuse block, a white which is also going to the fuse block, and then a couple of other small cut wires, that are probably for some sort of light.

turbo rebuilter,

I am a rebuilter and have many kind of turbo's at a good price. I use new parts thanks matt

At the blower motor the purple wire is hot.

Black wire should be grounded.

If you can disconnect the connector at the relay you can put battery power to the purple wire with the connector disconnected and see if it runs for starters.

A/C fuse powers the blower motor so double check that also.

Lights are normally the white wire on gauges even tachs.

Check the bulb too if it is in a plug in holder or easily accessible.

87turbobuilder....i dont konw why you didnt just reply to my turbo rebuilding thread, but im glad you found one area to contact me. I already have an offer of 350 to rebuild my turbonetics 60-.63 plus another 20 for shipping, i have no idea about the credibility of either you nor the other person. So im not sure at this point, however if you have better pricing then i will definetly consider it.

Where is the relay so that i can take the wire off it and run a direct current to the batter, if the motor works then theorically its the relay right??...I have encountered wierder things with this car...

Relay is under the hood near the blower motor sticking out of the passenger side heater/A/C box area.

Silver metal relay with two screw mounting bracket.

If it doesn't work on any speed it's usually not the relay.

hmm its not working on anysppeds but ill try relay anyway, see if its just a loose conection

Find the purple wire from the blower motor and put +12 on it from the battery, fused line is a good idea, say 20amp fuse.

See if it runs.

Purple wire is on the relay I believe.

well i lucked out, just ended up being a loose black wire that connects to the motor housing, so i fixed it, thanks for the info
