Hey guys im having a problem with my car heating up i just put a new high volume radiator, and pulled the thermostat but when i drive it runs 180-190 and after i park it and let it run in my driveway it will hit 210+ and i have no ideas the overflow bottle bubbles any help would be great Thanks

yeah, put the thermostat back in. If the thermo. is out, the water is constantly cycling through the engine, not allowing time to cool in the radiator. And stay away from that 160 stat. crap.

YEA! why does noone listen to me when i tell them this? Ive told soo many people this, and they all said 'malarkey'... I was like... well then why doesnt EVERYONE do it then? Hmmm. Yep. Thats what I thought. It REGULATES the temperature, by keeping the water where its supposed to be, for how long its supposed to be there. :) Though I dont see whats wrong with a 160 thermostat though?

I have a 160 and with a RJC FM , I never saw anything over 190....

Is your fan working? Also, did you said your overflow bottle is bubbling? If so you may have a blown head gasket!

another thing that boils rad fluid, is a rad cap thats either shot, or the wrong pressure rating.... :) take a cap tester and see whats up. also, check how it seats on your radiator too. look real close. it may not be seating properly.
