Finally ran the wires for the Knock and Boost to go on the pillar. First off I have the Autometer pillar that attaches to the stock A Pillar.

Lining up the Autometer pod to mount and realize it kinks the boost hose. The boost gauge sits in the pod and almost rests on the bottom. The pods look like they need to be deeper to provide more clearance. When the boost tube gets attached it bends hard to fit and then when mounting to the stock Apillar it gets pinched and kinks.

It looks like the only way it might work is to rotate the gauges to get more clearance, but if I do that then I am looking at my gauges sideways. And even that way, i still think once it mounts to the stock A Pillar it will still kink.

Does anybody have a clue on what to do? I already drilled into my stock A Pillar and now am screwed.

You might want to try shorter fittings. Any autoparts or hardware should have these fittings. Good luck

I dont think that will work either. The part that is long and causing the issue is on the gauge itself, not the nut that goes onto the boost gauge.

I just fit mine in last night and it was tight but not pinch tight. I left a little room at the bottom of the pillar pod to stick out about 1/8 of an inch just to provide a little wiggle room. You cannot tell unless the door is open all the way and real look close. Mine looks great

Did you run the boost wire behind the stock A PIllar or did you just run it under the Autometer add on A Pillar? Also did you get VDO gauges? The connection on the back of the VDO is seems too long.

I used Autometer 3303 Boost vac guage and put it on the bottom of the two guage pod pillar. I ran the lines between the orig pillar and the guage pod. I could not find a VDO that showed boost and vac so I went with Auto Meter. Good luck

Use a small vacuum hose and connect it to the NPT fitting on the boost gauge, then run it down a little and zip tie it onto the nylon tubing, or whatever you are using.

I had to drill a small hole in the Autometer pillar so the boost line could fit thru and ran that straight down by the emergency brake so it was not kinked.
