i did that back in the 90's. you do realize the old adage, garbage in - garbage out still applies. your using a source that is sub par at best and 30 years old, the signal the amp is going to see is going to be awful. if content on keeping the stock head unit you may want to go the route of a Bluetooth source to the amp, leave the head unit just for looks and the clock, and have 21st century sound., but thats just my 2cents. if your content on that direction, i think crutchfield may still offer something, try their website

I have an Isimple ISVE61 4 channel converter in my '94 Olds Cutlass Convertible at the moment and it works very well with the stock head unit.
Probably the most important thing to remember about the stock head unit is, as I'm sure you know, they start cutting bass around the 75% volume mark. Make sure you set your max volume around the 60% mark for best sound.

The Isimple ISVE61 can convert any input (hi or low) to any output (hi or low) with built in ground loop noise isolation.

The Cutlass convertibles only come with dash and rear side speakers and need major help. I added door panels with speakers from a coupe and upgraded all speakers to Infinity Reference series as well as up-sizing the rear side speakers from 5 1/4" to 6 1/2".

I have the front channels split going to a 4 channel amp to the 4 front speakers and the rear going to a 2 channel amp for the rear side speakers. I will be splitting the rear channels when I add a sub and amp.
