i live in colorado springs colorado and we are at 6035 feet above sea level. there are two tracks that i take my car too. PMI which is 4,768 feet above sea level and Bandimere which is at 5,800 feet above sea level. my boost is set at 14psi. what would be the best fuel psi for me?

You should be OK with 43 psi or so, thats what I run on the RA chip. I have a really rich idle and I usually run 45, but lately i've been runnign 43 with better results.

I can actaully go a little lower I think at the track, my o2's are around 820+. I have a couple of things to fix before next track date, and if you need help give me a call and i'll run down there and help you out. Valve springs and header crack fix should be soon ;)

I usualy run 43# in street trim (23* timing + 22# boost with 100 UL) and anywhere from 43# - 46# at the track depending on boost and weather conditions. If you don't have one, get a scan tool, it is a must in determining what fuel pressure is best for YOUR car.

XLR8, i'm going to have the same mods as you soon, hopefully.

I've heard a lot of good things about the thunderfab i/c. I'm going to keep stock turbo for a while, but eventually upgrade.

Maybe i'll goto bandy this year and see you running :D

your best bet is just to play with it. you might have enough time at pmi to play with the pressure, but at bandimere you'll only get 3-4 runs in through the whole night, and the air will change so much that you cant' make a good comparison. Its been a long time since i was at pmi, and i've never been there for a test night but i'm guessing its not as packed.

I set mine with a gteck, its not great but it works. I adjusted t with the vaccue line connected so my numbers are different than yours. I'll try to get out sometime soon and play with it some since race season is coming up soon. I use a volt meter as a crude 02 gauge. its not all that accurate but will let me know if i'm too lean or rich.

i will definately be heading up to bandimere a bunch of times this year. they just get more cars at that track. i wont get as many runs in but i would love too see some other cars other than the usual PMI people. no offense ;)
A shop down here called RMCR will be renting out the track sometime this summer for most of their customers to attend. 77tech9 let me know if you would be interested and i am sure they would let me let u come join us.

Defiently, a couple of my mustang friends are renting the dynopro too and it's only like $20 a car or something, so maybe if I get enough of my stuff done i'll take it for a spin on there also.

Denver somewhere, they have a website with NO GNS on it, you need 10 dynos or more to get a GN page.

Go to Macautosport in parker near E-470. Nick Macmahan is awesome....likes all kinds of different cars, and they're all super cool.

depending on where that dyno pro is at i might be intrested.

north or south denver?

how many of you colorado guys would be interested in spending the day up there? if you visit the dynopro website, they have list of the top horsepower Supras, Camaros, blah blah blah even VW bugs. we need to get a GN/TTA page there. i know of one TTA here in the springs area, 77tech9 in pueblo(GN), my buddy tim with an 84 GN, steve with the cleanest 87 GN i have ever seen in my life, an 85 T-Type, and i have heard that there is an 87 GN in the springs that the owner has repainted white. thats 7 people including me. i know theres a few others in Aurora and other parts. it would be fun if we could all get together for a dyno day.

I know at least 3 in town down here.
I'm still trying to get my car ready for race, but when I get everything all setup i'll take it down there and test it out.

I don't know of any others but count me in!! I'm installing a few upgrades to my stock 84. Wouldn't mind having a day of fun with all the others Turbo cars.

im getting off the intital point of this thread but oh well. . .

77tech9
