I have adjusted the iac and tps to where thy are both within range at idle and WOT. The problem is now my car is still idling at 1000+ rpms? The adjustement screw for the IAC seems to be pretty far out, is it supposed to be like this? Are there any other things that influence the idle? Any help would be appreciated
thank you

TB screw

Is the screw screwed out or in???? All of those I've worked on are almost all the way in.
What is the IAC count????
How are you setting the IAC and TPS???

Vacume leak

Forgot to add, check for vacume leaks. If you have a leak it will throw your IAC reading way off.

I noticed u said the IAC and TPS were adjusted for WOT.
The IAC does not need an adjust for WOT.

Was your car in drive when u adj the min air setting/throttle blade ??

What was the technique u used??? There is a couple of different ones.

On my GN's I have had to do it twice to get the proper result.

the technique i used was to adjust the iac slightly, then adjust the tps to make sure it was in range, then shut off car and start again so the iac counts would register. i did thia maybe 6 or 7 times to get it correct. the screw is almot all the way in(compressed) i have notuiced that the car drives much better noe that they arre in range, its just my idle is over 1000 roms? there are no vaccum leak, i recently replaced all vaccum lines and the guage does not show any signs of a leak. Any other ideas?

i tried that at first and it didnt work at all, i was told that you have to adjust, then shut the car of for it to register, which it did. even if i did that, my numbers are now in range, so why still the high idle?

no, i just recently bought the car from an elderly gentleman, completely stock, i mean completely he had recipts for everything, and i ddint see anything about a harness.....
