Hood alignment

put a hood on my 85 and the drivers rear sticks up half inch plus, i know how to move it around for the gap but not the height, the pass side is fine, ???

How about where the hood hinges bolt to the fenders. Generally those are adjustable.

Aren't there shims for the height?
