hood mounted FP gauge

I have a 2 5/8 liquid filled Ultra Lite fuel pressure gauge and I want to mount it on the hood. Has anyone had a problem with these gauges getting ruined by washing the car or raining? I don't know if the liquid filled gauges are weather tolerant or not and I don't want to trash a $100 gauge for no reason!


any ideas?

I have the same gauge, been on the hood for around 5 years, not a problem. The black mounting cup is a bit faded though.
