I have heard there is a kit that installs a fuel press gauge with out drilling into the hood.Does anybody have this and better yet know where i can get one??

I just tape mine to the wind shield. When i'm done i put it back under the hood.

Jack Cotton sells a "U" shaped bracket that screws into the underside of the hood, bends around the back of the hood, and you mount the gauge to that. I painted mine black, since it came in super shiny chrome.

I have a 1" spring clamp that is about 4" in length. Cost is about $1.50 at your local harware store. Drill a hole in the handle on the clamp where you can mount the cup holder that holds the gauge. When you want it on your hood you can clamp it to your hood and when you want to leave it under the hood you can clamp it to one of the brackets in your engine bay. I use the one near the power steering resevoir.

I want a really good hood mounted gauge. One that dont look crappy, i've seen them on cars in GMHTP and such, just wanna know where to get them.

I believe the Kenne Bell gauge uses the holes for the underhood lamp - no extra holes to drill...

Clamped

I was at bristol one year and seen where a few racers had cut holes in their hoods and mounted the gauges. Their cars looked like they had parascopes popping out of the hood. Just think those were low mileage cars with ruined hoods. I just made a L bracket and mounted mine in the existing holes. Now if i want to remove it no harm done.

Ya, I dont want to make any new holes :P

Anyone know where I can get a Kenne Bell one?

I made my own. 1" wide 1/8" steel strap. It clears the wiper and sits just right. I did drill the underside of the hood and install it with two 1/4" bolts just to make sure it never goes dancing across my hood. Even made a plate to go on top for two gauges (fuel & oil). I think it looks pretty nice. I could make some more if needed. It's easy and cheap.

I used the ele. gauge and mounted the gauge on the pillar post with the boost gauge. Kept the outside of car looking clean and uncluttered.

forget the hood -- put it in the car!

Just put mine on the A pillar with the boost gauge... makes it easy to see what's going on. Got it hooked through an isolator I bought from Jegs.

There is a picture of my gauge mounted with a Jack Cotton bracket in my sig. I like the look of the gauge mount on the hood.
