My 26x11.5 ET Streets are almost toast and want to try the Hoosiers, I've seen others say they picked up 1-2 th's by stepping up to the 27-28's, true?

The 26x11.5's seem to fit perfect(rim is 8.5" with 3 3/4" BS), is anybody having rubbing problems with stepping up to 27-28's, I can't roll the lips on a 28k mi GN. The car should be running around 11.5 @117

I currently have the 26X11.5 and will be switching to the 27X11.5. My friend has the 27 but I have not seen the 28 n a TR. The Hoosier has about the same footprint as the M/T but not as much sidewall "bulge" so you should actually have more room with the Hoosiers. HTH's

Hoosier 28

I have a set 28x11.5x15, on 3 3/4 BS, I have my fender rolled. If not, I am sure they would rub. I have about 1/2 inside frame. Hope this helps.

A 27x11.5 Hoosier will rub on the lip. When you put them on they will have some gap but when you make turns or give it a full throttle blast it will rub on the tire. It will also start to tear the outside of the tire. You will NEED to roll up the fender lip with 27 or 28 tires other than that stick with 26's.
