anyone have info on hotwireing your fuel pump without buying the kit i know gnttype.org had it but theyre down :T allso is there a big diffrence from getting the kit and doing it yourself? i dont really care about the connectors and such ..

I built my own hot wire kit, base on the gnttype.org instructions. Except I used a factory gm relay and weather pak connector. The caspers unit sure looks nice. I imagine you could build the hot wire kit using the radio shack relay, but I wanted mine to look like it belonged under the hood. My alky kit uses the same relay and weather pak connector. By the time you purchase the wire, relay, relay weather pak connector (with wiring), split loom and connectors, you're better off buying the caspers unit. Approximately the same price. So, if you build it yourself, then all you get to do is claim that you built it yourself. IMHO, save the trouble and order the casper unit.

The hot wire kits offered by Caspers or Racetronix are exactly what you'd end up with if you were an expert, went out and bought all the right parts, and put the thing together as a professional would.

They are well, well worth the $$$. You'd be better off try to save $$$ someplace else...

I did my own, and added a few features along the way. ;)

I also see the value in the plug-and-play kits.
