How do you clean the inside of the fuel tank. There is some small places with light surface rust. Thanks

the best way is to send it out and let a pro clean it. 9 times out of 10 when you get it back, it's like new. :biggrin:

probably better betting a new one not that expensive better than clogging your pump or filter and blowing a headgasket

I just bought a new tank from Car Quest for $119. It looks just like the OEM, and even came pre-painted black!

Some people have complained that the aftermarket fuel tanks don't have the baffle to keep the fuel around the fuel pump. Doesn't matter, if you always have a full tank of gas, but with 1/4 tank or less, it might let the pump go dry. Just somethiing to check, if you're buying a new tank.
