As the title says, how does installing a line lock help launch the car and lower 60' times? I must be completely stupid, but I can't quite understand how it would help, except for ease of doing a burnout. Also, do most people lock the front or rear brakes? Thanks!

Tom

Line Lock helps by locking the front brakes so it's easier to burn out without heating up the rear shoes. So when the rear shoes arent as hot compared to when they're hot when you use them you can hold the tires.

Sometimes people have trouble holding the car back after a burn out because the rear shoes are hot.

This is from what people have told me and that I've rear before, I've never dragged my TR yet so this is from no experience with the problem.

Transbrake has nothing to do with a line lock, and yes, most people who run a transbrake do run a line lock. The line lock is for the burnout, and the t-brake is for the launch.
