If a GN can run low 11's, high 10's on 117octane, what can it run on 91 octane? I'm considering picking up a GN that runs in the aformentioned range but I'm curious how quick it'll be in day to day use. I don't street race, but I might go to the track from time to time on normal gas with slicks, and I'm curious what it would run. Anyone know? Also what kind of gas mileage would a car like that get(I'm not worried about gas mileage in a car like this, just curious). Thanks.

You need octane to make power. You need boost to make power. No octane=no boost.
Drop the boost due to insufficient octane.. you wont go very fast.
Options are race gas or alcohol injection. Pick your poison.. but no way around it unless you can increase the cubic inches, or have a 9 second motor detuned to run 11's. Even still.. 91 is a tough cookie to deal with on a 231 cubic inch motor.
My times on my sig were done tonite on slightly higher Mobil 93 octane. 11.40 as driven.

A fast TR and 91 Octane!? You will have to have alcohol! All we can get here is 91 ('cept at the track) I did a 12.2 @ 112 mph with 91 octane and alcohol (Might have done 11's, but had to take off) This was also done at over 5,000 ft. elevation.

it can probably run mid to low 12s on 91 octane if its a high 10-low 11 sec car. I can get 93 here, and just this last Sunday went with 93 and 17 psi and ran 11.98 at 113.4 no alky.
My best time on race gas and 23 psi is a little skewed due to backing off the last few hundred feet because a vacuum hose blew off and i went lean causing 8 degrees of knock, 11.73 at 114 but i think it would have been faster (1/8 mile was 7.47 at 93.4)
The guys above are pretty much right, octane = a lot more potential for power, but going semi fast on pump only is not out of the question but alky is your best friend and I can't wait to get one.
