How much is a complete 87 motor with spun bearing worth ?

Local guy has one , my friend wants to buy it..Not sure what to offer..Complete except for turbo and IC..From pan to throttle body, all pulleys,ecm, harness, alt, ac included...Motor has been under a tarp..Heads have gotten wet , water in passages, not sure if gotten to pistons...Heads are still bolted on....May be a Jasper motor...
How much is it worth ?

i'd say a couple hundred bucks at most, i sold my old stock motor, with turbo no intercooler, for $1k , and that was with 42lb injectors, so you figure $250 for the injectors and $250-300 for a used but great working turbo, i'm not an expert but i would offer $400 bucks, the motor sounds like it needs some work too, again thats just my opinion, i'm sure some of the other guys here
with more experience can help out alot more, hope it helps.

If it's a aftermarket build (like Jaspers) then there is no telling what's inside. It may not even have a turbo crank or the right rods. Open it up and verify the parts and their condition.

If he still has the entire car I maybe interested in a few weeks. Motor $100,max it maybe total junk esp if it's a Jasper.

Since we have no idea if it's any good,it's hard to say. Esp if it's been wet,if the harness has been hacked, etc. Make him a low offer and see what he says.
