How Much Trans Fluid On Fresh Rebuilt Tranny

just wondering how much i should expect to put in the tranny. its brand new bone dry stock pan. i filled the converter up and it took 2 3/4 quarts. and i was wondering how much i should put in the tranny the start checking the fluid level thanks

I just changed mine and I started with 4 quarts and ended up putting in almost 6. so if you start with 4 on a new dry tranny you should be safe. Just take it easy untill you have it filled up and don't over fill it.

Just wondering, but do any of you use synthetic transmession oil?

well

well it took 7 1/2 quarts then it blurped and went to about 7 1/4
