My friend says that his Turbo regal's posi is acting up. The car is off the road now, but he said that before he put it away that he would get a 1 wheel peel. He DOES have the posi option. Is there a way that I can check it without driving the car? Can I jack up one rear tire and see if it turns with the other on the ground. If the posi is good, the tire in the air shouldnt turn, right??? I'd appreciate any advice....THANKS

The old "spin the wheel" does not work!!! In a posi that is setup with heavy (green? can't remember) spings and fresh clutches and steels and tight, it will spin the other wheel the same way OR a spool. But a good posi still has spider gears in it and will allow the wheels to spin in oppisite directions. Pull the rear cover and check the clutch pack and springs they are only 20-21 years old at this time! Post back what you find and I will try to find the rebuild instructions there here somewhere!!!! Good luck Jon Hanson:)

The "1 wheel peel" pretty much says it all, time for and overhaul or replacement posi unit.
