HVAC supposed to be backlit?

Isn't the HVAC controls supposed to be backlit? I pulled the trim off and no lights. Is this correct? How am I supposed to see the HVAC controls at night?

Pull the unit out of the dash a bit and look on the right side on the back. There's a twist in bulb/fitting there.
