Man, this sucks. I remember when my car was closer to stock, and I'd buy a badly needed upgrade, like turbo or injectors, and I looked forward to trying it out. Now I think I'm out of stuff to buy. For me, thats part of the fun is buying go fast parts. I miss "bolt ons". I like the little jobs, kinda relaxing to work on the car, but not be working hard, ya know? Like turbo swaps, cat backs, guages, etc. Now when i work on it, it usually requires an engine lift, a couple grand, a couple weekends, and too many headaches. Guess I should keep my money for the crap I will break this year. Sigh....this weather ain't good for nuthin' but wrenching on the car in the garage, but theres nuthin' to wrench on... Oh well, guess I'll go wrench on my buddy's peice of shi.....I mean, car.

You are going from a dead stop to 120 mph in under 12 seconds.
Life is good. :)

Yeah, I know. I'm a whiny bitch, what can I say? Truth is, I need to be working on my house now, but its not as fun. I need a rollcage, but its not going to happen. They will just have to kick my azz out. Unless I twist the car in half, then I'll cage it. I should move so I can race all year round, then my crap will always be broke! That'll give me something to do! But I would have to finish painting the house to sell it, which defeats the primary main objective here, which is to find something to do to the car to avoid house work. God I'm lazy.

Oh, I see, your are talking about on the dragstrip. Now, I do not condone street racing, but.... I have not timed my car yet, but I would guess mid 12s at about 107 mph. That's on 94 octane at 17 psi. On 100 unleaded and 22 psi, all I can say is there is no traction until 55 mph, mabey again mid 12s but at 113? Anyway, the fun for me is not at a stoplight (though I did blow away a '99 Mustang GT when I was stock except for exhaust, 100 octane, and 20 psi. When 2nd gear came he was gone), but in highway fun from 60 to 100 or so. Screwing around with someone driving a $80 thousand plus car is very satisfying for the ole' ego. And, I never instigate, I just get behind and more than keep up in my white, dirty, old Buick. Late model Porsche 911s, BMW M3s, Corvettes (not Z06s!!!), and all manner of expensive cars that can't believe this old, dirty Buick is easily keeping up with them.
I have not tried a high timing chip with race gas because I would not want to go back.

Nag...Nag...Nag...get out there and breakout some Zaino on that bad boy them you'll both feel better :D :D Rain is falling here now so no playing in the GN tonight, it likes the temps in the 30's but I don't really like to beat on it when its that cold but it probably doesn't care...my butt would though if something broke

Be like the rest of us and go buy a couple more!

Do a transplant.

Make your own wiring harness...:D (or more seriously, rewire all the stuff that is mickey mouse'd like the fans, the lights, maybe the splice in the harness that feeds all the important stuff but that robs too much voltage.)

Man do I agree with you on that, I'm in the same boat, nothing else to bolt on, so I go in my shop at home and just look at her, and wait for a nice day to burn a little rubber from about 25 mph on up, Ron

Spend some time thinking about expermenting.
All kinds of neat things you can get into.

Are you doing your own chips?.
Getting into doing them isn't too expensive and there is a whole science to understanding them. Believe it or not they can be really addictive to work with. Maybe spend some time, and fab up a DIY-WB. Sensors are getting to be a headache, so might look for one of them first.

thats why I bought my GN. I cant bolt anymore crap onto my mustang without a new engine. I just got my GN a month ago and have bought the following already: gauges and full pillar, 307 fuel pump, hotwire, 009's, FP regulator, FP gauge, BIGmouth cold air, mass air pipe, adj. wastegate actuator, OGC propane kit, 2 different chips, testpipe, and turbolink. so far I have used turbolink, and installed some gauges(pathetic), but I did wax it a bunch and spent a lot of time just sitting there looking at it. Oh I almost forgot that I did do the spring cleanig, heater core, and rear main seal. Working weekends only takes too long. should be a fun winter though.

Sam maybe you would like to install all your old parts on my car,,fuel pump, turbo, belt tensioner,Lower Control Arms, trunk kit, used front mount(missed the PTE I sold you).
Thank should keep you busy for awhile:D :D

Yea, I'm with Dennis. If you wanna play with my car, knock your self out. :D

If you guys were closer, I'd be all over it. I can't Zaino it because it just got painted. There are some small projects I need to do, like the mickey mouse wiring (You been spying Steve?), need a oil cooler, new tranny cooler lines, and general clean up. But all that stuff won't make it faster, so its not very motivating.

I've really been wanting to do a transplant, but just don't have room for another car. Plus its kinda nice to have money in the bank.

Well, I painted all the walls that needed painted in my house. Glad thats done. Painting trim sucks! But I painted 5 walls in 4 hours, trim and all, so that ain't too bad. Now I gotta paint inside the garage, with its 12 foot high walls! Sprayer time! No frickin' way a roller is touching that project.

Too much $$$. I thought about doing a TA block, and probably will later on, but I want to see how they go first. Plus my car is very clean and complete, with all functioning accessories. I know you can put all that stuff back on the TA block, but if I'm gonna have a race car, I want to gut it, so its lighter and easier to work on. I'll probably buy another car to put that motor in.

I'm so bored. Its like 10 degrees outside, and theres nothing to do. Guess I'll go to the gym for awhile, exciting as that sounds. Its very dangerous for me to get bored, I do dumb sh!t when I'm bored. Ask the old lady about our flamed refrigerator. Its still in the kitchen, I think it looks good. Maybe it needs more flames? Here I go again.....
