Ok here is the deal I just changed the TB And Dog house (Had them Ported and rebuilt) everything was fine for 2 days then today I changed the plugs and I went to a buddies house (Car was fine when started on the way and all the way there) and came out to go for a ride and the idel was way HIGH! (1500 RPM) (Also of note I just got the lean or Rich popping fixed so I really know there are no vac leaks) Didnt beat on it just ran to the store and came home. Messed with it for a bit looked for a vac leak found none Sprayed carb spray and then break clean (Ran out of carb spray) around all the hoses and vac black idel never went up or down. Reset the ideal (Thinking maybe the nice new plugs changed some thing
Went around the block and was fine till I got on it then it stubled when I let off and ideld at 1500-1600 rpm came home looked agian for vac leak (nothing)
I did forget to look at the Idal air #'s on the scan master for a reading (Dumb a$$ me)
Now its getting dark and I am beat so any ideas?? Could it be the Idel air goin bad??
This car is gettin on my last nerve this spring! Any help would be great! and thanks!

You Might Have 2 Retune Your Car If U Got The Intake And The Dog House Fully Ported Check Your Iac And The Reading Has To Be Around 20 - 50 And You Might Have 2 Play Around With The Tps Or The Rps Depending On Where They Are On Your Scanmaster

TPS Is set at .44 right on the money.
Ill check the Idel air again tomorrow I wanted to let the car cool off and see if it does any strange stuff at idel when cold also.

Strange it was fine at first and then went nuts about 60-100 or so miles later is it??
Also whats RPS?? did you mean RPM's??

Yea Sory I Did Mean Rpm's And Dont Tune It When Its Cold Tune It At Operating Temperature Which Is Around 190 Degrees Depending On Your Thermostat Your Rpm's Should Be At 700-850 At Idle And Your TPS Is Pretty Good AND YOUR IAC NEEDS TO BE 20-50 ALSO CHECK YOUR AF (MAF) NEDDS TO BE FROM 4-7 POINTS IS GOOD

Stat is a 160 so Ill let it warm up and tune from there.
Just seems strange it took that many mile for it to act up

Ok Man Good Luck On That Hows Your Knock And Your Fuel Delivery

All are good had 21lbs-22lbs of boost and 0 knock and 780-820 O2's! today when out the first time with alky running. No poppin no nothin then the wacky idle crap started lol. Fix one thing an another goes to sh*t lol.
But well get it sorted ;
)

Yea Thas True Im Having Serious Problems With My Gn Also And I Cant Seem 2 Get It

Do You Have A Good Chip For That Alky

Yup I love my Turbo Tweek chip! when I get everything sorted out I am thinking of going to a bigger turbo (TE63-te65) 50-60lb inj. and The Full throttle Maf plus and remove the Maf sensor.
Dont know yet need a lot of other stuff still like a cage ;)

Thats Cool I Have Lots Of Stuff That I Bought For My Gn But I Cant Put It On Cause It Wont Run Right Im Goin Crazy With It

Thdp,50 Inj,340 Fp,65mm Tb,hemco Dog House , Power Plate, Fully Redone Suspension And Rear End, Ads, Cold Air Kit, Alky, 160 Stat,

GN1 Sorry to here that make some post I am sure someone will help
Bruce just gave me this info and guess what! I ran the test just no in the garage and Damn if it didnt jump over 2800 RPM!! So its bad Im waiting his reply but I am pretty sure i need a new IAC Valve so Ill pick one up and we should be all good! :D

Here is the post he gave me :

With a warm engine:

Jump A->B on the ALDL connector, like your trying to read codes.
Turn the key on
wait a FULL minute.
Unplug IAC.
Remove jumper.

Now try to start the engine.
This procedure fully extended the IAC, so the idle should be low, and possibly too low to idle. If the idle speed is high, then the IAC is acting up.

In removing the TB you might have knocked some carbon loose. It does accumulate in there.....

If the idle is low, to, too low, then just plug the IAC back in, and try driving it a little while, and see if it relearns... There is a certain amount of learning with the IAC.

Sure sounds like a vacuum leak thou...

If the engine is sensing a stall condition, then it ratchets the IAC count up.

Got a Scanmaster?, or know what the IAC count is?

check your alternator for the proper voltage. When mine took a crap the idle was very high. The car ran but not well... It was the last thing I would have thought of... Good luck.

Have you tried taking the IAC out and cleaning it? I recently did my son's on his 3.1 Cutlass and it was a mess. Idled better after that...

One I will clean the housing but I am not going to clean a sensor I can replace for less than $40 and have a brand new one. Just dosnt make sence to cut that corner.
2 I just inspected all this when it went on the new TB and seemed pretty dang clean but then again maybe something came lose and is causing the issue.

You can follow what bruce say here - http://www.t6p.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11605

He also mentioned cleaning it. So I am off to do this now. I have a major hunch its all bad

Alts reading 13.5 at idle on the scan master so dont think that it, but thanks for the info Ill be watching that now 2

So what are your IAC numbers? You may have to reset the minimum air rate. Should be between 20-50. If its at 0 then the pintle is fully extended and not bypassing any air, unless your IAC is not scewed in all the way or is faulty. I just started an engine in one of my cars that i had just put in and the IAC was not threaded down all the way causing an air leak and an excessive idle speed. Once i threaded it in all the way and reset the minimum air rate it idles great.
