NEW GN owner needs some help, installed the following on an entirely stock car

1 heated O2
2 RJC power plate
3 237 3 bar regulator(non adjustable)
4 racetronix 340 walbro with hot wire kit
5 Poston's 93 street chip
6 adjustable waste gate actuator end
7 running 100% Sunoco GT-100 unleaded

I got 113 blm with hot wire kit connected at idle
AND 120 BLM with straight factory fuel pump hot feed( hot wire not hook-ed up)

PROBLEM IS WOT 2-3 shift >>>>>> BIG COUGH boom bang OVER FUELING < OVERBOOST ?

BAR GRAPGH IS IN THE RED< NO MECHANICAL BOOST GAUGE

I should maybe enlarge orfice in waste gate Y hose from compressor to turn down boost???

I should lower fuel pump voltage untill in 10 lb or more boost?

Having fun with new toy!!!!!

Those BLM numbers are fine. You are a little rich but as long as you aren't pegged at 105 the ECM is managing things like it is supposed to. Optimal BLM is 122-128 at idle.

INSTALL A BOOST GAUGE before you do any modding! This is next in line after the Scanmaster. Doubt you are knocking with 100 octane though. Coughing doesn't sound like boost, sounds like spark-related issues (maybe coilpack).

If you think you are overboosting, take the orifice out completely and assuming the wastegate isn't turned up you will be at around 12 psi. If it is a GM stock replacement wastegate hose set, order the 0.050" orifice from a vendor. The GM replacements are notoriously incorrectly sized.

Wastegate Y orfice 50 thousandths

:)

I plan to get a Deltrol adjustable needle valve to make for an adjustable restrictor orfice and turn things down a little, QUITE correct on BOOST gauge, quick fix could be install 3 bar MAP sensor to drive bar graph gauge and RE- scale , full scale would be 30 psi, half scale 15 PSI to see how high things are going, BUT NOTHING responds or looks better that a VAC/BOOST mechanical guage!!

NEW Random tech CAT, mandrel downpipe , and ported wastegate elbow on WISH list.

Coil pak is brand new accel high output, new bosch wires, NGK UR4 plugs @ .038
New coil driver module also

Need good heavy intercooler hose set also with the good clamps.

I can see why they say , DO ONE MOD at a time, I HAVE THROW TO MANY Variables into the equation.

THANKS, and Regards> New GN Owner, Blackhawk 38
