Installing A Tach

HEY FELLAS ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET INFORMATION ON INSTALLING A TACH I HAVE FROM A HALRLEY THAT I THINK SHOULD WORK

Not sure if a tach from a Harley will work.

If this is a wiring question, the tach lead is the wire with the green clip near the back of the alternator (The wire that doesn't connect to anything).
