got my tb and plenum from Jay Jackson yesterday. Before installing tb and plenum should I bolt the tb on the plenum first then install or bolt the plenum alone to the intake first then bolt the tb to plenum?

Hey Jon,
Bolt the T/B onto the plenum and install it onto the intake as an assembly.Don't forget to put a new gasket between th TB an plenum.Good Luck.

I would install the plenum first and then the throttle body. But that's just me.To each their own. I don't think it maters. What kinda mood are you in?
Do you have a power plate or spacer? That would be one more reason for me to install plenum first. The main reason would be that installing them one at a time would be less bulky. For me that is.

yeah i got a powerplate. I have them assembled already so I'll have to deal with the bulkiness. Jays instructions say to put silicone sealant on the tb gasket on both sides even though the gasket is new so that is what i did.

rear plenum bolt

I got everything in but the rear bolt. It doesnt want to reach the threads. what do I do now?

ok I got everything in. I started the car and i can hear the hissing sound right where the vaccum lines go into the new vacuum block. So there is a vacuum leak there. I checked it and its because the lines are no really tight. Now I don't want to take everything apart to change thelines. Think I can tie wrap the lines or something?

All you can do is try it and see. Why are they loose? I asked this ? because mine went on so tight I spread some silicone on the inside of the hose to help it slide on. Sure the plastic block is'nt the problem. Use new sections of vacuum hose.

the hoses were tight when i put them on too. I even put silicone to help them slide on easier. When I press the end of the hose near the block the hissing stops. Gonna try the tie wrap method and see how it goes
