installing used Monster Tach

Hey guys-
I just bought a 5" white faced monster Tach at a local swap meet yesterday with no instructions. It says "MAC TOOLS GATOR NATIONALS" on the white face. It also has a shift light. On the back is a opening which has a DIP switch. Don't knnow how to set this thing or hook up the wires. Anybody seen one of these or know anything about them. No manufacturer name al all.

all the tach's ive installed the all have 4 wires..

black = ground
red = hot
white = headlights
green = negative wire off of distributor (or on the tach output on MSD box's)

i dont know specifically if it is different on our cars, but thats how its supposed to be.. and you probably have to calibrate it for a 6 banger...

i dont know if this helps at all

Thanks Neil, the wiring hookup helps. Does anyone know how to set the positions on the DIP switch for a 6 cyl?
