I posted about this a while ago..but its really been bugging me..
Yesterday, I was at the bank in the pull-up lanes, put the car in drive, went to a leave and a second later the engine coughed and then stalled. Stuck the car in Neutral and cranked it and after a few cranks it stumbled back to life.
This stalling out has happend on occassion when I put the car in gear, or right after putting the car in gear.
I have a Extender chip, idle in Drive is between 700-750rpm according to my VDO tach and my TurboLink.
I think I've been experienceing some oil blow by through my turbo's dynamic seal, not sure if its now shot after it being driven with 90+psi of pressure through the winter months, but could oil have contaminated or caused damage to the IAC? ... might be lending to this problem?
Since installing a new GM crank sensor several months ago without using a feeler gauge to properly set it at .020", it got shaved a lil by the reluctor ring... (I do intend to replace it again anyway and set it properly)
The other thing...I believe my front intake seal, along the front of the block is bad since the whole front upper-portion of the block, above the oil return for the turbo is encrusted in both old and fresh oil grime.
Any other ideas?
