Is anybody running 11's with 17 inch wheels??

I 'm not sure which route to go on wheel size? 15's or 17's. 15 are cool ,but it's a little old school. Is there a tire in a 17 that would hook up good enough to run in the 11's??

My car ran 12.30's at 118 on 17" Nittos(pump gas/alky). The 17's didn't hook for me. If you are looking to run quick ET's , go with the 15 inch set up. 17's look good, handle well but don't hook worth a damn. It's all in what you want. I would bet you could get some 1.8...maybe 1.7 60fts with 17's if the suspenstion was set up right. I had to tip toe out of the hole (zero boost launch and a light foot for the first 150-200ft). That netted me 2.20 60fts. Not so nice if ET is your bag.

Thats what I was afraid of! I'm stuck between both worlds?? 17's really make the car! But I'm not sure if I want to loose anything by going that route.

why not go with 17s and throw a couple 15s with slics in the truck for the track...

Why not go with 16's and get the BFG 255/50/16 drag radials or the Nitto 245/50/16 Dr's? I know guys that were getting consistent low 1.7 60's on the BFG's with best 60's in the mid 1.6's.

Mickey Thompson does offer a ET Street, 17in tire now. Check out theit website.....
