Ok my car runs like between 175 to 185 under normal driving but when i run my a/c its runs between 190 and 210...is that not too hot for my car to be running and i can let car sit at idle with a/c and it will go up pass 210...im thinking that, that is too hot for my car to be running......Any suggesstions?

160 T-stat, f body radiator, RMI 25, dual fans. All of these should contribute to running cooler :) I'm not saying you need them all but I always try the cheapest route 1st & that would be the T-stat & RMI 25.

good advice

RMI125 dropped my temp 15-20 degrees. Order it from Nick Micale(sp?) on this site. Flush the system and put in 8oz. with distilled water and you'll see the difference. :)

Everything they said is the recipe though with the fbody raditor you have no provision for your engine oil cooler.
Also make sure the original rubber that boxes in the front of the radiator is there...very important!

if you're running on stock chip you could change all listed above and youll still be running those temps due to its high fan turn on temp

160 thermostat and a chip programmed to make use of it should drop the temps , water and RMI will help.
got my RMI from here

or get it from nick micale

My daily driver has the stock radiator with the DUAL fan kit from ramchargers.

With my AC on in the summer, my coolant temp will rise to 192° to 205° and my stock radiator has been cleaned out with the RMI-25. This is when its 104° out, high humidity and me NOT getting after it for a 45 minute drive home, and all my baffles are in place in front of the radiator.

The RMI-25 works great and gets rid of alot of your deposits in the coolant system, but now that i look back on it, i would rather have just installed a new f-body aluminum radiator from napa.

You should consider getting a dual fan kit and replacing the radiator with a new one depending on how hot its gets where you live.

I dont think 205-210° is too hot, but it would be nice to drive in the 100° heat, get after it and keep the temps down to 175-185°

If it has the stock thermostat, the 180, it's wide open at 200 degrees. If you put in a 160, it won't affect anything, as far as max operating temp- it will just open sooner. Wide open 160=wide open 180. But making sure the fan is on high, the the airflow is getting through the radiator, and that you have a good, clean radiator- those things will affect max operating temp.

i dont have nothin in the front of my radiator..... I have a turbotweak chip and i dunno about the t/h......where can i get the rubber in front of the radiator?
