It's the proper one from the drivers door, yes.

for the regal its as close to one as youll find , regals have the SPID label in the trunk which details all factory options and colors.
check the ser # and dont be surprised to find its not the one for your car , ive seen several in late 87 that were from the car before or after it on the assembly line

There's a similar "Cushion" sheet which you may find under your rear seat...
