I am in the process of putting a th400 in my T. I had a bad converter take out my 200 tranny. This 400 has a brake. I will be running an 8" ati treemaster converter in my car. stalled at 3500. I plan on getting a cheatah shifter, 28 spline moser axles and boxing my rears. I do have a big bar on the rear. Question. I have a pair of used front comp eng drag shocks. Should I put these on in place of my Monroes? The best 60's I ever had off the foot brake were usually 1.7-1.9. I did hit a 1.59 once.
Last year at Brainerd Muscle car shootout my times were 1.8-2.1. My car turned consistent 119mph @ 21lbs. et were from 11.74 and up. That was with 26" bf drag radials.
Will I notice a difference going with the drag shocks, tranny brake (in a 400)and 28" mt slicks?
