I got a Jay Carter chip in my 86 with stock injectors and turbo.I love it.The car spools up like crazy. Also idles very smooth.:)

First,
The only perfect chip for your car will be if you learn to do you own, and spend the time to perfect it.

I have run and played around with some of Jay's chips, and I have no problem, saying they are good. But, will it be perfect for your car?, that you won't know till you try it.

BTW, it took 3 years and several hundred of my own chips to get one for my car to what I would call perfect.

Hey Bruce check out my sig, ive currently run a JL 92 chip with about 18* of timing and now a running a Ramcharger 93 chip with about 20* of timing (not yet tuned with that chip) can you give me some suggestions on some good chips from your experience or knowledge of the 009s? i hear the extender chip is good w/the 3.5 maf and T+ im trying to get the most performance out of my car with 100 octane and all my upgrades listed in the sig.

thanks

jojo

I have a JC 93, and JC110 for blue tops.....I run them in my GN. I got them with my injectors, and are probably pretty old??? Seems to work just fine for me though. Jay knows his stuff :)

I've got Jay's variable timing chip for blue top's...I had it in my car before I changed my set up and liked it alot. As a matter of fact I've asked him to reburn it for me....

The Translator plus is a System and one option is using an Extender with it. The neat part about the T+ is that it crosses over into being able to tune it for your combination. It also corrects some inherit problems in GM's system.

A Ramcharger chip is from Bailey Eng same folks as the T+ stuff.

I run a Translator Plus with my own chips, in an Extender mode.

Getting the best out of one's car takes work, and the power of OBSERVATION. There are lots of guys that run alot faster then would seemingly be possible, but they are good tuners, and in a few cases, just lucky. Taking notes cover all the bases. Even if it's just a lucky combo., with notes you can repeat the luck.

I have a JC 93 for 42.5 (009)s and its great. By far the best chip I have used. So good in fact, I will be getting his 100 octane chip in the near future.
