I hope this is the right thread to post here but, I was arguing with my brother about the way I did my Limited. He says, "The value of it dropped with the new interior change"...and I say it won't...I really don't care about the value since I'll keep her forever. I told him about this web site and I know if anybody knows about the market value on these cars its you guys...so...Whats the verdict....Did it drop or is he wrong....I will also say that I'm not trying to pass it as a Grand National as the limited emblems, door panels and hood orniment are still there.......I just love the GN interior and the rareness of the limited so now I have both.....

Looks Good To Me!

I say if you like it...then that is all that matters! :) as far as value I don't think it would hurt you....I personally like it!

looks real nice to me, I might have done a different wheel but as far as value loss? It damn near looks factory!

If you like it who cares and in my opinion i think the value is not damaged and i think it looks great.

Oh....I totaly agree...I just added that steering wheel which Im going to paint grey and clear coat to match interior...The original wheel is brown and I kinda wanted to keep it original on my wall....I will post some more when I paint the wheel and add the door jam plates and cluster face....Thanks for the replies also.......One more thing...Im looking for a used adjustable FPR ...I will also post that little nugget in the right spot later....

Whoa!

I say if its a keeper, dont worry about it.

My you have a lot of gauges in there!!

I like it. BTW what's the story with the pull strap/door handles. Never paid much attention to the way they were in the Turbo T's. Are those factory or one off?

There the original Limited upper door panels....I just painted them and removed the chrome piping around the black plates....Here are a few pictures before I started...

Did you keep all the old stuff? If you did, it's not as though you can't re-install it. So long as things don't get torn up coming out, being stored, and going in.

If it were a collector car, yes, you'd want the original interior, the original everything.

As it is, it's modded. Besides, you say you're keeping it. In that situation, it's whatever floats your boat, huh?

this is just my 2 cents.. this is a pic of my interior... and please nobody go crazy, or all Rambo on me... this is just my opinio... I think the car is great.. i love the interior, it came out good.. but i think you should of kept the leather.. thats one of the things that make are cars (Limited's) diffrent from GN's or T-TYPE's..not that im saying there is any thing wrong with those models.. but i think you should go back.. column shift, and all.. thats what make us Limited owners diffrent from the rest... just my thoughts.. so please, dont go all " co-coo for co-co pop's" on me... Im just another proud Limited owner.. If you ask me, it was perfectly fine the way it was... but, you did a great job.. looks stock....

If it would'nt been Sh*t brown I may have considered it...But......

There are only 1035 Limiteds made so I wonder how rare that makes this one...I'm surely not the only one thats done this set up...I know alot try to pass off regular regals as GN's but what about Limiteds....

well, my buick brother... its your car... so do to it what ever you want.... you always going to have some Buicks owners that love the idea and you'll have others that will hate it... all in all its your's enjoy her... Royal_6.... Proud owner of '87 Buick Regal "Limited"...... Limited on production numbers, but not in power....

You got that right and besides I kept everything that came out of it and Sh*t brown paint cant be to hard to find just incase I ever by me a GN.......

That tan leather interior was one of 3xx or so total tan leather 45/45 seat production, regardless of turbo or not... If you still have those seats and the console, there's a vendor here on the board that may well be interested in buying them from you. Or, if you are ever interested in going back to the original (like the grey one above - one of 7xx in'87 w/grey leather), it may be worth keeping as it is really, really hard to find that color and those seats/consoles.

However, I do like the change (I had a Limited Turbo and now have a GN)...

It looks good, but call me crazy, I liked the sh*t brown :D . I don't really like the interior of my Limited (especially the pillow seats... I'm not 75 years old so I can't appreciate them), but I'm going to leave it alone. Mainly out of a lack of time, lack of interest in messing with interiors, lack of money and a pretty severe case of laziness. That and I'd prefer to leave it stock in case I ever do sell it...
