Does the a/c heat shield need to be removed to install the Kenne Bell valve coves?

With my tall valve covers I need to move the wiring harness and it looks like I have to remove the hard heater hose pipes - I say "it looks" because I put them on with the intake off the engine and when the intake was on the car, it did not seem lie it would go.
